Emergent Technology: Communications
I went to all the websites that were listed under the emerge technologies: communications and found myself getting lost in some of these creative and fun websites that allow you to try it for free! The first one I tried was Gliffy.com, at this site it allows you to create floorplans! When I tried it I found myself trying to re-create my own room on the site. It was fun, but also took some time due to the website running slow on my computer. I really like Mixbook.com. I think that out of all, this was one of my favorites. I love making scrapbooks and just recently tried electronic scrapbooking. It was hard to get used to at first but I found it is an easy and fun way to communicate with family and friends that don't liv near me. Creately.com was a website that allowed you to do online diaramming. I think that this was confusing for me because there are so many tools to use and too complex in the graphic designing for me to really enjoy this website. Monkeyon.com was an interesting site that I have never even thought existed. It is a sight where you create a to-do list of things you want other people to do. It was entertaining thinking of what my long list would consist of. It could be beneficial in a large company because it allows you to send reminders to others of when things are due. This could also work in the classroom full of due dates and information. Zoho.com I didn't find interesting, it was overwhelming with information on things it offered like wikis, writer, mail, etc. I think that googlewave.com was a really cool site. It allows you to communicate in real time with people. This could be effective to students working on a group project or for talking administering an interview. All the websites were different and interesting. Some of them I will use in the future as an educator and some I'll throw out and never think twice about them. I didn't realize there was so many ways to communicate on the web!

Emergent Technolgy: photoshare
I really enjoyed learning about this topic. I played around with SmileBox for awhile because I was in a trance of all the cool things that it had to offer. I love scrapbooking and have scrapbooked since I was in elementary. I love being creative and SmileBox allowed me to be creative and share memories with people over the internet. SmileBox is like digital scrapbooking. It allows you to create a memory book using your personal pictures. You can add creative templates, sounds, and labels for every picture. I thought SmileBox was very easy to use. I just downloaded the needed information then was able to use my pictures and create a digital book of memories. I sent the SmileBox creation to family members via e-mail that don't live in Indiana. They all thought is was really cool and creative and asked me to help them make one. I sent them the website where they were able to go and make their own digital scrapbooks to share their memories with the family in an easy way. Now, my e-mail inbox is full of descriptive pictures of my family!
