PODCASTING
What it is?
Podcasting is a series of digital media files that can be either video or audio. These series of digital media files can be downloaded through the internet or web.

What it does?
A Podcast allows you to download somthing such as a radio show or something of the sorts. Someone who makes a podcast is called a podcaster. The podcaster usually updayes their podcast with episodes that you can download one by one or you can subscribe to someone's podcast.

How is it Useful?
A podcast can be useful in many ways. I have used a podcast in some of my lecture classes. The teacher can record the whole lecture and post in online in oncourse. You can then download the lecture to your IPOD or computer and listen to it and take more thorough notes. I would listen to the lecture again on my way to school so the information would be fresh in my mind for the upcoming lecture.

Tips on Finding a Podcast:
You can find very good quality podcasts on ITunes for your IPOD. If you are interested in creating a Podcast there is a great website that helps teach you step by step on how to do this :

Hi! I'm Kelly Horan. I'm 22 years old and am busy beyond belief. I work two jobs: one at Wishard in the Inpatient Psychiatric Ward and also at Gold's Gym. I go to school full-time to be an elementary school teacher. I love children and believe I can make a difference in their life by helping them learn. I have a big family, 2 sisters and two brothers, that I love more than anything. I have a boyfriend for a year and a half now named Nate, who is amazing and all I could ever ask for. Although I'm really busy, I still find time to work out because health is very important to me. My boyfriend is a big hockey fan, so I am by default. We just went to Pittsburgh over the weekend to watch our favorite team, the Penguins, beat Detroit. It was awesome, and totally worth the 5 hour drive! Well that's me in a nutshell!

When setting up this blog I thought it was really easy so far. The only problem I had was setting up my account, I had to change my password in order for it to work. Other than having to change my password it was a really simple task, but I haven't tried uploading my picture or anything to my blog yet. I'll keep you posted if I have any problems!
